Hope Children's Home | August Donation

We love to give back to national charities, and local ones! This month's donation is going to an organization right here in our hometown of Jackson, Missouri. The Hope Children's Home is a transitional house where children can be brought when they are taken into protective custody and awaiting an appropriate foster placement. The children receive nurturing care, meals, clothing, a warm bed, and medical, dental, and psychological support.

This past year at Hope Children's Home:

  • 33 children were provided family foster care
  • 22 children were placed with their siblings upon entering family foster care at

  • 92% of children transitioned from placement at Hope Children’s Home into the home of relative/kin. 96% of those children remained in placement with family at their most recent update.
  • 100% of children served increased their family connections. A total of 1070 relatives/kin connections were located by the KinConnect Specialist.
  • 92% of children stayed in their school of origin providing educational stability while in emergency foster care.

This children's home is supported financially by it's parent charity: "FosterAdopt Connect". A Missouri Foster Care Organization Since 1998

A bit more about FosterAdopt Connect

In 1998, a group of dedicated foster parents recognized a need for stronger support, training, and companionship as they pursued the difficult and rewarding work of parenting children in the foster care. Many felt isolated and ill-equipped to provide the most loving care for kids who had experienced abuse and neglect. As more and more families were drawn to the support and advocacy offered by the group, it quickly matured into FosterAdopt Connect, which was incorporated in 2000 as a 501c3 nonprofit social service organization. Rapid growth, fueled by the needs of children and families impacted by trauma, has expanded the geographic reach and depth of the innovative programs and services offered. Yet, at its core, FosterAdopt Connect maintains an “in the trenches with you” approach to serving kids and families.
